Frame-accurate foley, synced to your picture.
foleygen watches your clip and creates realistic foley that lands on the frame.
A fast, practical alternative to hours of hunting through libraries and cutting effects to picture — or booking a long, costly foley session.
Straight into your timeline
Today you download the WAV and drop it in. Native plug-ins are on the way — each one on its own schedule.
-
Coming soon
Pro Tools plug-in
Generate foley for the selected clip and place the stem on a new track, without leaving the session.
-
Coming soon
DaVinci Resolve plug-in
Send the timeline selection straight from Resolve and get the foley back on the Fairlight page.
Three steps, about a minute
No project file, nothing to install. Bring a clip, take a WAV.
-
STEP 01
Upload a clip
Up to 10 seconds (MP4 · MOV · WebM · MKV). Longer video is rejected, not trimmed — nothing is cut behind your back.
-
STEP 02
Generate foley
Usually about a minute. Progress and an estimate stay on screen, and the clip is deleted from our servers once the job is done.
-
STEP 03
Download the WAV
Take the raw stem, or play it against your video right in the browser before you commit to it.
Hear it against the picture
Foley can’t be judged by reading about it. Same clip twice: the silent original, then the same frames with foleygen. Nothing was levelled, EQ’d or limited — you can download the raw WAV and check it in your own session.
No audio track at all. This is what goes in.
Same frames. The sound is what came back.

People who finish the sound themselves
What you get is a clean stem that already sits where the picture says it should. You take it into your own chain and finish the mix your way.
-
Sound designers
Material that belongs to this scene, instead of the nearest library match you then have to bend into place.
-
Editors
Scene sound on a rough cut, fast — enough to screen a sequence without booking a session for it.
-
Commercial and short-film teams
Quick foley for short takes, on the days when the schedule has no room for a stage.
Honestly: what it can't do today
Better you read this here than find it out after uploading.
- Clip length
- One clip is 10 seconds at most. Longer video is rejected, not trimmed.
- Access
- Open to everyone: sign up with Google or e-mail, pick a plan or a credit pack, and start generating.
- Credits
- 1 credit = 1 second of foley, rounded up — so a clip costs at most 10 credits. Credits never expire and there is no monthly reset. During the beta we load them for you; your balance is shown inside the studio.
- Output
- It is raw foley — not a mix, not music, not dialogue.
- Bandwidth
- The WAV is true 48 kHz 16-bit stereo PCM, but the generator returns its audio through a lossy stage, so there is little content above about 16 kHz (we measured it). For impacts, footsteps and object handling that is inaudible; if you need air and sparkle at the very top, layer it yourself.
- Refusals
- The model may refuse a clip. When it does, your credits are refunded in full.
